Wise Words Wednesday – Maya Angelou

Standard

This week’s wise words comes from one of my favorite people who ever walked the planet. Yesterday was Dr. Maya Angelou’s birthday as well as this month being National Poetry Month. ‘Mama Maya’ as she is affectionately called was one of the wisest people to live IMHO.

The below quote tells us her mission in life and I have no doubt that she accomplished all of it before making her transition.

She was a great speaker and a brilliant wordsmith. Check out the video below for one of my favorite talks she gave:

Jane Austen is a celebrate literary genius. Her words fuel many women and men to new romantic heights. Being someone who loves to prepare for everything, this quote made me stop and re-evaluate thinks. When it comes to pleasure, it may suit us better to just jump in feet first.

Wise Words Wednesday – Little House

Standard

wise-words-wednesday

This week’s wise words come from a television show that I was obsessed with as a child. Little House on the Prairie was a staple in my upbringing. It taught me all kinds of life lessons and I thank Michael Landon, aka Pa, for that. This quote was from an episode where a mother was sick and knew she didn’t have long to live. She told this to her children and it is very relevant in my life these days since I recently lost my mom.

Remember me with smiles and laughter, because that's how I will remember you. If you can only remember me with tears, then don't remember me at all.
