Q is the neighborhood “man”. He runs the block as the son of a famous NBA player. All the kids do what he says, except his new neighbor. When the new people move in next door Q is excited to have another little boy to follow his lead, but is disappointed to find underneath the baseball hat is a young girl. He falls for her as soon as she starts playing ball, because she acts so different. After scaring her face for life, he is forced to apologize and starts a lifelong friendship. The next day when he is told to walk her to school Q sees Monica in a dress and it is over. His heart is hers. Unfortunately, he just can’t control his need to dominate her and loses her in the next breath.
Give it up for Young Quincy McCall aka Q, played by Glenndon Chatman:
Best Line: “Can’t should never be in a man’s vocabulary… Cause when you say can’t you ain’t a man.”
